As a youth-group leader, your job is simple, keep all the teens from killing each other and get them back to their parents in one piece. But this trip isn't all play. It's a retreat, intended to get them away from the distractions of the world and help them focus on their spiritual growth. Grand Vista Lodge was a great solution as far as your purposes were concerned. There's been plenty of room for the whole group, plus a few chaperones, and the cabin's secluded location has provided beautiful views-a firsthand reminder of God's creation. And when you've turned them loose to enjoy their free time, they haven't had to wander far to find fun. The game room has a pool table, foosball table, pinball machine, ping pong table and a 60-in-1 arcade game. The two big-screen TVs with DVD players have also come in handy for winding down at night with a good movie for the whole group. Even better, you're a pretty short drive from NASCAR SpeedPark, where hopefully, they'll burn off some of that endless energy on the track.
